    Head in the clouds

Craving an office with a view? One of Africa’s tallest buildings could be for you.

Reaching 195 metres in height over 32 storeys, Britam Tower in Nairobi, Kenya, is officially ready for leasing and on the lookout for commercial tenants, as reported by Construction Review Online.

Selling points include an exterior 15-storey silo for parking, and eight high-speed lifts capable of traversing between top and bottom floors in under 30 seconds.

From atop the upmarket location, the pièce de résistance is the panoramic view of Mount Kenya, the Nairobi National Park, Wilson Airport and Nairobi CBD.

Additional features include earthquake resistance technology and modern fire safety provisions (such as pressurised fire escape staircases and state-of-the-art fire detection and fighting equipment).

An advanced security surveillance system was also put in place to monitor the building on a 24-hour basis.
