A new one-stop facility in Rosebank, Johannesburg, aims to make healthcare more  affordable, accessible and inclusive.

The R100 million two-story health village in Glenhove Road is a joint venture between property fund Growthpoint Healthcare Property and Epione Health Villages.

Moneyweb reports the concept envisages creating a seamless experience for those seeking healthcare – from GP consultations to specialist healthcare, including diagnostics and pharmacy services

The ground floor will have 22 consulting rooms, accommodating eight GPs, as well as dental and optometry practices, clinical associates and a skin cancer centre.

The second floor houses an surgery centre with 20 beds and two fully equipped theatres capable of handling a broad range of surgical cases across specialties.

‘Epione Health Village is a purpose-built, thoughtfully designed healthcare offering that serves a real community need,’ says Growthpoint fund manager Farhana Russell.
