From its extensive manufacturing premises in Germiston, Gauteng (two facilities spanning a combined have 6 500 m²), Invincible Valves offers a comprehensive in-house rubber lining service for valves, pipes, fittings and vessels. This specialised process enhances durability, corrosion resistance and longevity, which are critical factors in high-wear applications.

The facility’s rubber lining division is equipped with modern curing ovens, precision equipment and highly skilled technicians, ensuring every product meets stringent quality and performance standards. This service is utilised by major South African valve manufacturers, underlining Invincible Valves’ position as a trusted technical partner within the industry supply chain.

Invincible Valves is fully equipped to serve as a one-stop resource for valves and ancillary equipment. Not only does the company have accredited agents in all major centres across South Africa but it also services all four corners of the globe.

In addition to its manufacturing and lining capabilities, Invincible Valves has offered a complete service, repair and reconditioning solution for all valve types since its inception.

The company’s dedicated reconditioning and repair centre focuses on restoring valves to original equipment manufacturer specifications, ensuring optimal functionality, reliability and compliance with international standards.

A fully equipped workshop – featuring advanced machining, pressure testing and surface preparation facilities – undertakes all reconditioning work. Every repaired or refurbished valve undergoes rigorous testing, calibration and certification before leaving the premises, guaranteeing performance and safety in the field.

Du Plessis’ leadership philosophy blends strong operational discipline with a people-centric approach, ensuring that every member of her team shares in the company’s vision of excellence and integrity. Having worked across various industries throughout her career, Du Plessis brings a diverse range of skills and knowledge to the sector, with expertise spanning transformational leadership, diversification, skills development, community empowerment, and embracing technology. She holds a financial accounting qualification from Pitman Training (UK) in 1993, and two diplomas – one in psychology and the other in engineering.

Du Plessis has been recognised both locally and globally, receiving numerous accolades within the engineering and manufacturing sector, including Enterprising Women Magazine’s Business Woman of the Year Award (2017), an IWEC Foundation Award in New Delhi (2019), and the Steel & Engineering Industries Federation of Southern Africa’s (SEIFSA) Business Woman of the Year Award in Johannesburg, South Africa (2024).

Du Plessis also serves as chairperson of the South African Valve & Actuator Manufacturing Association and is a board member of the SEIFSA.
